The Independence Day celebration fun activities continue during the July 4 weekend at the annual Red, White and Boom party, a uniquely spectacular show.

The party runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Gahanna Sanctuary. One of the Gahanna Foundation's largest annual events features live music, food and more.

Since 1981, Red, White and Boom! party has set the Columbus skyline aglow. For 40 of those years, Earl Burke has been at the helm.

"We make this a production," Burke said. "As a production, you want to make sure the shell you see in the sky matches the music at the right sequence so you can get the right pizzaz. People are looking for creativity. Anyone can go shoot shells. But we want this to be a performance and a world class event." As you can see, the team promises a uniquely spectacular show
